Mandarini is committed to cultivating and ensuring a work environment of equal opportunities, where every employee enjoys fair treatment and equal access to employment, advancement, and professional development. At the same time, it works proactively to inform and educate communities about the importance of equal rights and inclusive practices, empowering the local community and reinforcing the principles of respect and solidarity. It is also dedicated to working towards the elimination of gender inequalities and to enhancing the participation of all genders and ages in research, education, and innovation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Strategic Pillars and Implementation for Gender Equality<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work-life balance<\/li>\n<li>Strengthening flexible forms of work and emphasis on accessibility<\/li>\n<li>Staff support measures, including task redistribution and special support for employees with care responsibilities for dependents.<\/li>\n<li>Gender-balanced representation of genders and age groups in decision-making, committees, working groups, and governing bodies<\/li>\n<li>Transparent recruitment progress<\/li>\n<li>Clear evaluation and promotion criteria, free from gender bias<\/li>\n<li>Encouragement of equal gender and age participation in research projects<\/li>\n<li>Zero-tolerance policy against any form of violence, discrimination, bullying, and harassment<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that incident reporting procedures are accessible and confidential<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Training and Awareness<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Twice a year, free seminars and trainings on Gender Equality will be conducted for the organization\u2019s staff, volunteers, and the local community. The aim is to combat biases and cultivate a culture of inclusion.<\/p>\n<p>These training sessions will be delivered by Ms. Eleni Lazaridou, who has academic expertise in gender studies, and she is a PhD candidate at the Department of Social Anthropology of Panteion University and a final-year student of the Master\u2019s Program &#8216;Gender, Culture and Society&#8217; at the University of the Aegean.<\/p>\n<p>No financial resources are required for the implementation of these training sessions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Data Collection, Monitoring, and Evaluation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the effective implementation of the Gender Equality Plan, annual data are collected regarding:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Number of seminars\/trainings conducted per year<\/li>\n<li>Number of participants (staff, volunteers, members of the local community)<\/li>\n<li>Participation rate by gender and age in the seminars<\/li>\n<li>Level of satisfaction and increase of knowledge\/awareness on gender equality and unconscious biases among participants (through evaluation questionnaires)<\/li>\n<li>Number of posts on social media and the organization\u2019s website related to the seminars<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Actions and indicators are evaluated, and the plan is revised whenever necessary, in order to remain up-to-date, applicable, and efficient.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dissemination<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This Gender Equality Plan is public, published on the Mandarini organization\u2019s website, and will be updated on an annual basis.
